NTEU Website Sets Record Straight on Federal Employees
Posted On: Feb 06, 2012

NTEU is taking some of the most egregious falsehoods about federal employees head on. Whether it is about your pay and retirement or the size of the workforce, NTEU has dedicated a new website to debunking false statements politicians and pundits make about federal employees.

FederalEmployeeFacts.com

This website is just the latest step NTEU has taken to set the record straight about federal employees at a time when they have been unfairly targeted on Capitol Hill and in the media. The website pairs misinformation about federal employees from various lawmakers, pundits, political figures and newspaper editorials with the real facts about the workforce.

"NTEU will not allow these statements to go unchallenged," said NTEU President Colleen M. Kelley. "We need to stand up and call them on their deceptions and distortions."

With the 2012 election season underway, NTEU anticipates there will be more falsehoods to correct and grand statements to clarify. The union will be watching closely and updating the website whenever a politician, public figure or media report uses or publishes incorrect information about federal workers. The updates also will be posted on Twitter @NTEUnews.

If you see inaccurate statements about the federal workforce or the work you do, e-mail NTEU the news article for possible inclusion on the website.

Please do not view or share this website on government worktime or in a government building.
